My mom has EOAD and she is in the late stages. She is still able to walk--constantly. We have her in a home but, she tends to trip, walk into walls stumble, which causes many trips to the emergency room. My question is, is there not some type of walking aid that can prevent or minimize falls? She is currently in a merrywalker but she still tends to have falls with injuries. Anyone have suggestions?

Jev,

The Alzheimer's Association doesn't specifically endorse a line of products or companies, but below is a listing of available web resources on home safety products that may be of some help. This list is being provided solely for informational purposes, and we encourage you to investigate each resource and make an independent determination regarding product preference:

Alzheimer's Store
Caregiver's Marketplace Site
ABLEDATA
Graham-Field, Inc.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
