On the Alzheimer Association website there is a section discussing current medicines that are used to treat Alzeheimers. In that same section there is section that talks about adding Vitamin E.
When we had our consultation with my mothers doctor, I asked about adding Vitamin E to mothers medicine regimine. The doctor said that, that was a common practice but was stopped about 5 years ago. It was found not to be as useful as they had hoped; and they were having patients hemmearging. So this practice fell out of favor. Suggest you check with your medical staff and if this is correct suggest you take that piece off the site or because it is part of an entire article at least add a P.S. updating current medical thoughts on the subject. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference." |

Hi Sandy. My husband was advised to take vitamin E when he was diagnosed not quite 2 years ago. He performed 30% better on his 2nd cognitive therapy test. I believe it can't hurt and I take it now.

SandyJ,
Vitamin E is a fat soluable vitamin. Dosages are very important! You can take too much Vit. E. You need to consult your physician to find our correct dosages! Peace and Hope, Lisa |
