My husband has recently been dx with aggressive, progressive alz. and was at one time addited to pain meds. Now that he is getting worse his addition is haunting him and both at the same time is killing me. Got up at 2 this a.m. to find where he was and have been up ever since. I have taken all the drugs and put them up where he cannot get to them but he will still look for them and will take amything he thinks is a pain pill. Both of these problems together is about to kill me. I think I'm need of mental help. Need some more professional advice from the Dr's I suppose! Anyone else having trouble with these 2 things at once?

May I suggest you repost in the caregivers forum. Also, if he is searching for drugs, get some placebos-and tell his Dr right away.
