My sister cares for our mother in the state of North Carolina. She has been trying for over two years to find a dentest or oral surgen who would see Mom. As of today, 3-27-08, we have an appointment with a dentest in Chappel Hill, an almost 4 hour drive, on April 7. We are finding that Alzheimers's patients are discriminated against and would like to know how to address this issue on a federal level. All the places that will help with mental illness refuse to see her because she is not retarded. Other dentest or oral surgeons refuse to see her because she would need to be put under for any work to be performed.
