Has anyone else read the articles on the brain producing Insulin and insulin and its related protiens are produced in the brain and that reduced levels of both are linked to AD. The lower quantity of insulin in the brain - the more advanced the AD! This sure is news and I hope we hear more about this research. As I understand - this is not about Diab. 1 or 2 (pancreas insulin) but just think what it might bring about in all of Diab.!!!!

Hyperinsulinemia has also been correlated with dementia. This stuff is complicated! One of my doctors said that medical science is virtually just discovering the full role of hormones.
