Oops, nevermind, I just saw a post in another part of the forum for Enbrel, which looks like what the report was on.

I am very hopeful about the research going on in England regarding a helmet that bathes the head in ultraviolet waves. It reportedly not only stops the advance of Alzheimer's, but actually causes marked improvement in patients. They hope to have the unit on the market in year's time. Other than that, I haven't heard of any significant breakthroughs.

There are several drugs in phase III and hopefully will be available to the public 2009-2010. You may want your loved one to participate in a clinical trial as well. Go to NIH.com to find one.
Dimedon is another promising drug. They will be starting a phase III 6 month study the first half of 2008. It is available over the counter in Russia.
Good luck to all of over loved ones.
