my dad will be 84 in august. i haven't tried the tylenol yet. i know he can't take benadryl because it totally has the opposite effect. i haven't given him melatonin, it's so hard to get him to swallow the tablets.

If you want to give melatonin a try...It is available in liquid form.

I think I've seen chewable melatonin tablets in my local health food store. Also, you could open up a capsule and put the contents in food. I find apple sauce to be the cleanest and most convenient.
