Has anyone heard of Xango? It is a dietary supplement made from Mangosteen. it is said to be high in antioxidents and therefore possibly good for those with Alzheimers. Before we start to take it I would like some feedback from others. It has been used in Southeast Asia for years. hope to hear from other caregivers.

You wanted to know about the xango m....I actually was talked into it by a 'dealer' who swears by it. she honestly believes in its healing power. She is using it on her mother who has early stage alz. and she is using it herself for her own arthritis. I bought a case (you have to purchase it in cases of 4) It's very expensive, but worth it...if it works for you. Personally, I quit buying it, as I didn't notice any significant change in my husband. But he is in late stage alz. and I don't think anything would help him at this time. if you need to know more about the product, just key in its name on your computer and you'll find more info than you can ever read! I do think it has merit, but you decide for yourself. by the way, this lady had a pharmacist check it out for her before she gave it to her mother, and all he would say was that it most certainly wouldn;t hurt...and it wouldn't interfere with any other meds she was on. Hope this was of some help.
