Everyone,

Thank you for your kind words and emails. I want you to know that I appreciate each and
everyone of you. I wish only the best for you.

The hope of Enbrel has been taken from me. My
DH may have Parkinson's/LBD. Enbrel will not
help in any. My greatest joy was that Enbrel was in our future and now that is gone. I feel our life has been shattered again. I would feel blessed if my DH did have AD because we
could cling to the hope of Enbrel.

They want more extensive testing done, which my DH does not want to do. It is one way to get, at best, only a possible DX. We may elect to stick with supplements only and let nature takes it's course. There is still a chance that he may have AD. We will try the Enbrel injection if it becomes available but only by a trained Tobinick doctor in the Texas area. I say trained because my DH has extenuating circumstances, ie, Lymphoma which means his immune system is already compromised, dormant TB in his body from childhood and Atrial Fibrillation, which I don't feel would be affected by Enbrel.

There you have it. Keep us in your prayers. My DH is an absolutley wonderfully kind man. In all of this, he is worried about me! I wish I had his strength of character.

Thank you Bob for forgiving me and Felicia for just being you. I greatly admire you both.

Jeanne

Jeanne:

Sorry that your hope has been taken away. FYI Elan will be starting clinical research on PD. I will keep you posted if I hear any news.

Jeanne,

I'm so sorry! For the both of you. Please stay on the forum. You have made many friends here. We care about you and your husband! He may have PD, but I believe the stressors are about the same. Even though I haven't posted in this forum, I've kept up with each and every post! You've been here since the beginning, so don't put us down now! And seems like there will be clinical research on PD with Elan!

Hang on!

Good-Morning Jeanne!

I like the name of your thread! Many people have the "Hope" for Enbrel. I hope Enbrel is still OK for your husband. Maybe it's still worth a try...those 4 Doctors out in Texas should be starting up soon. Keep the faith!
