What drug or supplement have you found to be helpful to increase memory? I've been taking memantine and I cant say I'm any better, maybe less able to recall names of people and things.

Junior Bear, welcome! There are many medications out there to treat memory but they work differently on each individual. I was on exelon in the beginning then namenda was added. After a couple of years the exelon was no working so my neurologist changed me to aricept, that was causing too much agression so I was taken off and am now only on nemenda.

I have reread your question and these meds do not increase the memory but rather stabilize the memory for a period of time. Some may see some improvement by a point or two on a test but as I stated we are all affected differently. You should check with your doctor if you feel you need something more.

Hi Lynne, I have taken Razadyne for over 2 years and it was no longer working, there was some mild aggression as well, that is the 2 reasons I was taken off because of the adverse effects it causes in FTD patients.
