Can Aricept(10mg) make Dementia /Alzheimer's become worse or advanced?

I think there can be a bad reaction to this medication, but am not aware of permanent harm.

My mother became very agitated, cried and couldn't understand what I was saying to her, ran in every direction in an apparent panic not knowing in which direction to turn. She also became anorexic and stopped eating (did not complain of nausea; just was never hungry and lost considerable weight).

But when the medication was stopped, she returned to where she had been before the medication.
