I refitted a commode as a shower chair. Put on an open fronted toilet seat and am now easily able, using a hand held shower, to thoroughly wash & rinse mom's peri areas. Works great!

At this point in time, getting her into the shower at all is a major task and she cannot stand, but her hair still needs shampooing every couple of days.Very oily.
Have found that placing a plastic bag around her shoulders and tipping her WC over the edge of the tub on the frame of the commode. I can use the hand held to wash her hair without having the whole ordeal of getting in and out of the tub. Make sure WC is very secure
