My mom was in the emergency room for 6+ hours. Not surprisingly she became thirsty but needs thickened liquids. The emergency room didn't have any because "its an emergency room and your not supposed to stay there long" LOL. With much begging they brought her hot soup, pudding, milk, ice tea and juice. The pudding thickened the milk, mom liked her "malted" and from here on in I am carrying instant pudding powder with me.

They now make the brand name pudding in small, one serve tubes. Might be easier to pack/use.
