I was wondering if anyone had friends or coworkers that had not had a personal experience with Alzheimer's disease watch the program. Did you receive any feedback?

I am curious if this HBO special reached those who do not have a personal experience and what their thoughts about the disease are now that they have had this look through HBO's window into the disease.

I encouraged my brother to watch and as I suspected, he did not. I think our relatives who are minimally involved or absent from the experience probably avoided the films.

I too have encouraged my more distant family members to watch the videos, but I suspect the ones that will are the ones that do have some contact and provide occasional respite for me. Those who are distant full time are that way on purpose, and will remain so. I too would like to know how the films are perceived from an outsider's perspective.

My personal perception is that it's factually accurate but sanitized for general consumption. Where was the scene where my grandmother somehow spread poop on every single surface of the bathroom in the few mintues she was in there alone?

I encouraged my friends to watch, they did not. Although, my brother would not watch it either.

I had hoped that this series would have increased dialog and understanding among my peers.
