My mother-in-law is Dominican and just moved from Brooklyn out to the MetroWest suburbs of Boston to live with us due to Alzheimers. I am looking for programs in the area with Spanish speaking people; she speaks very little english and is very isolated in our area. Any suggestions, organizations etc etc?
Thank you.

Hi Laura,

Thank you for contacting the Alzheimer's Association!

For a referral to an adult day care program with Spanish speaking staff you may contact your local chapter http://www.alz.org/apps/findus.asp . You may also contact the National Alliance for Hispanic Health helpline at 1-866-783-2645 or visit their website at http://www.hispanichealth.org/sufamilia/ . We hope this is useful to you. If you have any questions, please contact us again or call our 24hr helpline at 1-800-272-3900.

Sincerely,

Griselda S, Care Consultant
