I am new here, my parents care coordinator suggested I make a connection here, because they both have AD. It is my first visit with them in a year and they are both pretty out of it. I find myself talking to them as I always do, but am frustrated and confused and sad by their inability to understand or follow a conversation. My Mom is especially demented, seems really lost and unable to track. I just need ideas on how to communicate with them. I find myself treating them like children, and it bothers me later. HELP!!!

Welcome, and sorry you have to be here. You will receive so much more support and responses in the Message Boards-Caregivers Forum. I suggest you repost there. They are a great group of people. You can also participate in the Chat rooms.

This particular section is for posting Chat Room times etc. and I don't know how often people look at it.
