Hi everyone--this is my first day on the site and am also a novice at chatroom conversations. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some feedback about an issue my dad complains of almost on a daily basis. Within the past year he complains about constant daily noises and feelings of extreme pressure within his head. I am a retired RN and ironically worked on an Alzheimer's unit approx. 8 years ago but I have never heard of anyone complain of the same type of symptoms. It does not appear to be a Meniere's type of disease yet we do not have a medical diagnosis to rule it out since he is very reluctant to see his doctor stating "there is nothing anyone can do for me anymore anyway." I feel so bad for this daily torment that he must endure and am wondering if anyone else has heard the same complaints from their loved one. Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone can give me.

Does you father have hearing loss? My mother has had severe hearing loss for a number of years and she has constant tinnitus which can come in the form of African Drums, big band music, choir music, organ music etc. She sometimes says Joh Philips Sousa is playing in her head. I've been told this can be as a result of hearing loss. I've not heard of any solution to the problem and I do not know if it is related to AD.
