Need any info you may have on this drug : Trimethoprim . It was prescribed at 100mg daily for 90 days. (1x a day)

All I know is its an anti-bacterial and is making me very ill. Nothing shows up on internet searches as to side effects. Being so sensitive to drugs, I worry abt what I can or cannot tolerate. I took 1/2 dosage first day out. That seemed fine. Within two hrs of the second dose however, not feel so fine. This morning, I'm very sick. I cant drive to the walk in clinic, an hour from here, and really shouldnt be driving at all in this situation. I cannot afford another ambulance bill at $1000. a pop, besides they mad at me for not making last months payment! So dont think they would come out here to take me into the hosp.

I'm afraid to take another dose today. Of course its Sat, and cant reach the dr till monday.

If anyone has any info or can direct me to any internet site wich has this info, plz do so. Ive tried WebMD and the drug just lists that its a drug!

Cheyena,
The drug you are talking about Trimethoprim according to a nursing drug book is indicated to treat uncomplicated Urinary tract infections caused by certain bacteria. Adverse reactions: epigastric distress (stomach ache), nausea, vomiting, glossitis, fever. Sounds like your having some side effects??? Call your Doctor Now! I would not take any more of this until you speak with your doctor or another doctor who is on call for him

Good Luck

Peace and Hope,

Lisa
