My mother was diagnoised with AD in March 2008. Since then she has declined at a rapid pace. She is currently in a NH in the SNU. For the last 2-3 weeks she has been taking her clothes off. She is confined to a reclining wheelchair but she still manages to get her clothes off. It is very frustrating for me and the NH staff. The nurses usually have her sitting next to them while they try to hold her shirt down. I guess this is common among AD patients. What causes this? What can being going on in her mind?

In the Caregivers Forum, Johanna C. recommended the catalog Buck & Buck. I checked out their website and there is clothing that closes down the back. Check it out. It might help.
