Shapiro, Does she understand that there isn't any stuff at the other house? Or is there anything perhaps in the attic or in storage there? Is she lucid enough to understand what you tell her? Sometimes when older people refer to going home they are referring to the end of their life? Does she have Alz.? If you can make her understand that you can take her there one time but that she can't return perhaps it would be worth the trip?! Good luck Peace and Hope,

I think that the poets had it right, home is in the heart. My mom wants to go home, and the home she wants is a mix of several homes, mostly her childhood home, a golden time.I know that I can not physically reach the place that my mom wants, and that it wouldnt satisfy her if she did.
