JUST PUT MY MIL TO BED, THEN SHE SAT UP AND VOMITED. I'M RELATING IT TO THE APPLE JUICE AT SUPPER... TOO MUCH ACID. ARE MOST ANTACIDS (SUCH AS ZANTAC) OK TO GIVE? IS THERE ANYTHING CONTRAINDICATED FOR ACID INDIGESTION?

KLOYD: God bless you for your dedication to a LO/MIL. I cannot help you concerning the most effective antiacid, however there are times for the appropriatness of meds. Our PCP suggested, for example not to take supplements/vitamins at the same time as the meds for my AD patient, my wife. She told me the vitamins tend to encalsulate the meds and loose the full effectiveness of the drug. Dr suggsted a time span of two hours or more. I have also been told by a phmarcy be cautious of the time of ingesting fiber supplements, as they will dilute the effectiveness of some meds.

Has anyone else had these types of recommendations. Would like to know!

Keep up the good work, KLOYD! You are not alone, there is always "HIS" presence with you in the furnace of this trial.
