Volunteers are so very important to the Alzheimer’s Association. You may have spoken to a volunteer on the helpline, or your support group facilitator may be a volunteer, you yourself may be volunteering for memory walk, or helping the Alzheimer’s Association move the cause in some other way.

Thank you to all who are volunteering now, or may in the future for the Alzheimer’s Association.

At this time I would like to especially recognize the Peer Volunteers, our very own group of volunteers that has been helping us all for over 6 months by providing extra support to community members, and working directly with the administrators of this community to find ways to improve and enhance this great service.

Thank you to each of our Peers for their service to this community.

You have each impacted this community in your own very special way; you have worked hard, and are so very appreciated!

****To all community members: Please use this thread to show your own appreciation for our Online Community Peer volunteers!

Now we cannot forget the rest of our community member super supporters. Even if you did not have the title or official role of Peer Volunteer, your amazing supportive advice, comfort, resources, etc. offered to each person who visits this site is noticed and also very much appreciated. We hope to see many of you join the Peer Volunteer group in the upcoming months as we recruit and add additional Peers to the bunch. (email onlinecommunity@alz.org if you are interested)

But first things first! A big thank you to the first cycle Peer Volunteers for all they have done and will do in the future for this great supportive community.

Bests Regards

The Online Community Team

To Lisa, Carolina Songbird, Alan, Johanna C, and Ttom,
Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart for being here for me, for your advice and for your kindnesses. The support you give is invaluable. I would never had been able to survive with you. (Really. I was calling the Suicide/Crisis Hotline for help before I found these boards.)

"You've all found a soft spot in my heart."

Thanks, Becky. And I want you to know, you've found a soft spot in my head.

(Yes, I'm trying to be funny!)

Yes, Yes, Yes, Thank you to the volunteers for the dedication to the message boards. You have helped me and continue to do so - much more than I can express. The tone of this community is one of help, support, and compassion and I think the volunteers are leaders in setting the tone.

Blessings to all the volunteers,
Kate
