I lost my mother on December 3, 2007 after a seven-year courageous battle against this demon called Alzheimer’s. My father, brother and I took care of her. Those of you who are caregiving for a parent knows exactly what that means so I will spare you the details.
I am currently working on a book by and for sons & daughters of Alzheimer’s patients. If you have (or are) caring for your parent – either hands-on or from a distance – and would like to have your story considered for inclusion in the book, please e-mail me at: kerr.patti@yahoo.com |

what type of experiences are you looking for, Patti?
Chris, cln051784@hotmail.com, PS. 94: 17-19 If I should say my foot has slipped, your love O Lord supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your joy brought consolation to my soul. www.intothemist.us God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called. |

Chris ~ Thank you for asking. The book I'm working on will be a book geared towards sons and daughters of Alzheimer's patients. For anyone who has walked that path, the challenges and emotions this disease brings to the surface are unique and heart-wrenching. The book will be a book of encouragement, support as well as practical advice by and for those who have (or are) taking care of a parent with Alzheimer's.
If you would like to consider participating, send me an e-mail at kerr.patti@yahoo.com I can send you a preliminary questionnaire which would allow us to get started. Again, thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you and possibly working with you in the future. ~ patti kerr.patti@yahoo.com |
