my dad died on my birthday and i was glad he was with me even if it was only for a few hours but my family still is treating me like sh*t

Well let me tell you something my dad died 4-25-98 mom died 4-25-08 tens years later to the day on my B-day. I dont know what my parents were thinking but boy my b-day will never be the same. I know how you feel. The family thing well mine I felt really never cared. I dont let it bother me life is to short.

Honeybee1024, my sister died on my birthday, She was so sick and in so much pain. I look at it a last gift from her, a gift of peace for her!! With knowing that she is at peace and is in no pain helps me get through her absents. We all do what we can with what we have. My father has Alzheimers also. My prayers are with you, my deepest sympathy to you and remember always have FAITH!! It will get you through this.

My dad died 6-28-08. We buried him on July 5th- my husbands b-day, my son whois named after my dad turned 9 on July 9th. And my dad would have been 58 on July 11th. It really does suck. Jenn

i must say when i read your post i was really missing my grandma. you see, she passed on June 16th, my 32nd birthday. The day before, my mom and dad and aunt were getting their stuff ready for work the next day, and i was sad and said she held on all day and tomorrow it is my birthday and i know i am gonna be here all alone (we kicked out 24 hour care that weekend) and she will die on my birthday. I stayed the night at moms and the next morning she called in to work, then my dad went in for 2 hours then came home, then my aunt showed up with a cake and card for me. she held on till 3:10 pm and we were all there. My aunt was able to pronounce her and i had a stethascope and heard her last 4 beats. It is hard because i am a medical assistant in a cardiology office, and when i have to take a pulse, i cry sometimes later and think why didn't her heart keep beating. I just miss her so much. I am thankful everyone was there, cuz i don't know what i would have done if they hadn't been. Now when someone asks, i will be able to say the exact day my grandma died was June 16th 2008.
