My dear Jimbo passed away on May 8th, I miss him so much.
On Tuesday July 1st we would celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary.
It is so hard to go on without him.... I have four daughters all married and living on their own, they call often....
but at night I am so alone... I still have one ear open to listen for Jim, it will take a very long time for me to really move on.
My whole life was consumed with his care, daily.. I retired to care for him at 57 years old.
Now my days are empty and void... I see my grandson almost daily, that really helps.
WHAT A GREAT LOSE WE SHARE !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry for your loss. While searching for information on grief, I came across a site that had a lot of people who lost their spouses. The site is www.GROWW.org. Click on GROWW for widows.
Again, I'm sorry for what you are going through. God Bless

Muriel - My dear husband passed away May 15th, just two weeks after our 42nd anniversary. I know the feelings you express. My husband had been sick for 10 years. I retired three years ago to take care of him. It is very hard to find something meaningful to do now. Oh, I keep very busy, but I need something to fill up the space where I held his heart for so many years. I have been looking for a place to talk to others who had lost their husbands to AD, but had not noticed this board before. I have read and contributed to the Caregiver's board for years. I am so glad I found you all. I will continue to read, contribute, and pray.
