A brand new member (Welcome "Wondering What Lies Ahead!!!) just posted the following to another message thread. I thought I would post it as a new thread and see if anyone else wonders about this? I know I do!

My family and I were concerned about the history of dementia in my mom's family so we had an examination done of her brain so we would "know for sure" that it was AD. Well the results were that there was a "low probability" that she had AD using one set of criteria, however using the "Kachaturian" criteria she did meet the criteria. We thought it would have been so easy ....why couldn't just one thing be easy! And now we have to wait and see which one of us get's it...with every lost item or forgotten appointment...is this it? or is it normal for a 60 + person?

I, like "Wondering what lies ahead" am wondering. A neighbor walks 4 dogs frequently by my house. I asked him their names the other night and he told me. Do ya think I can remember them now? (I can remember 1!!)

A friend and I drove through a city we use to spend a lot of time in but havent been in for a long time. So many businesses have changed since we were last there. We would look at one place and say "that use to be [???] restaurant! We still cant remember the name of the restaurant!

My mom passed away from AD in February. Now I worry that every time I forget a name or word that I have it. When my dad passed away from cancer 32 years ago I thought every pimple I got was cancer. Maybe I am just paranoid. (OMG -- that's a symptom too, isnt it? Eeker)

Hi Mari: I can not believe you started this post. This last week I have seriously been wondering if I have it too. I was thinking of starting the same post. Forget about remembering new people I just met , I am terrible at remembering their names. Last Wednesday I could not find my diamond ring as I was getting ready for work. I decided to look later when I get home since it was getting late. I tore my room apart & my family helped me look. It was weird because I always put the wedding band with the diamond ring together in the jewelry box. The band was there but not the diamond. I spent the next 2 days going crazy looking for it. I then think maybe someone took it, not good & I feel bad for even thinking that way. Friday morning I go to the closet to get a pair of pants out & the ring falls to the floor! I dont know how that could happen. I was happy I found it but now I am worried, how did it get there? Am I loosing it & thinking someone took it, I am seriously wondering. I have been so depressed too, when I am home. At work I am fine so I dont know if I am still grieving or starting to loose it. Putting things in the wrong place, accusing people & being depressed are signs arent they? God help us !
