I have a suggestion and I think it might help alot of us out when we are feeling down or just need someone to talk to. Amongst ourselves lets exchange phone numbers via personal e-mail. I know that some of us have already gotten a number or two, but wouldn't it be great if we had a list as a circle of friends? My e-mail is listed on the bottom of the post along with my phone those of you that don't feel comfortable, just e-mail me and we could do it that way.

Tracy,

You have a good idea. I will email my phone number as soon as I get home. As I told you last evening, we are out in western PA visiting our son. We live in the Harrisburg area.

It was nice speaking with you and I know that we can support each other via phone conversation as well as this site.

Some of us can't speak nearly as well as we can type. I do not like talking on a phone, it's awkward, I get behind more than I do chatting in person.

I found a friend that I chat to on Messager through this forum.

I don't seem to get the phone well. I need to see for things to make sence. Hearing is difficult... I'm not deaf but I need the whole package to make sence. I wish I could ues a phone. The other difficulty of cause is that I live in NZ. I have emaild one person here who is young. But He seems not to be interested in exchangeing emails.

Dose anyone care that my spelling and gramma is bad?

Jenny, I had no trouble reading your post. Your misspellings still sound like the words, just using alternative letters.

I had a friend not too long ago who spent a year in NZ, and absolutely loved everything about it. He's an outdoors type. The pictures he sent showed a beautiful country. How do you like it?

Keep writing and posting Jenny. It will help your brain. Don't worry about spelling and grammar.

Keep writing and posting, we each know our deficits and understand each other and what we say DOES make sense to one another.

Hi Tracy & everybody!

That's an excellent idea! Now how can we go about meeting each other (all of us who post)at the "back fence"?

Today the doctor at Johns Hopkins told me that my speech is not clear. I've been told that before but I passed it off to my being tierd. Today I had gotten plenty of sleep so I would be at full operating potential. I looked over and my wife was nodding her head in agreement.

Now I enjoy conversation but I never want to be misunderstood. Got me in a catch 22. ConfusedNothing too new I guess, this AD has tied my underware over my head, spun me around 'til I got dizzy and pushed me towards the deep end!

Tom, every day, dementia kicks us somewhere. Maybe the shin, or the buttocks, but then there are special days like yours, where it's a kick in the crotch. I can't imagine how self-conscious it would make me feel, to be told I didn't speak clearly.

And Tom, I've never had trouble understanding you, when we've talked in meetings.

Bet this has really messed with your head. Did the doctor give you any other information yet?

Tom, you mentioned that you have grandkids, any ages 13-17 that might be interested in camp?

Tracy- I wish the one that is 14 (and he is the oldest) could get time to come to your camp. I'd send him in a heart beat. He is senstive, my right hand buddy andcould use the opportunity. Unfortunately he is tied up with other issues and can;t get away. Thanx for your concern and offer by email!
