I'm proud of making soup (home made) in a wheelchair. I worked in my kitchen 3 hrs.
All my guests really enjoyed the soup. It was good, I tasted it several times befoe serving.
My 8 yr. grandson got a kick out of chair.
But at the end of everyone leaving I had to have my chair and crutches to certain places.
It all worked out,.
My 8 yr grandson got a kick out of the chair and baby who is almost 10 months crawling up a storm.
It was a great evening with family. Next week I have an appt. with nero to see if I have early onset.
But for now all I can think about is walking on my own 2 feet.
Will find out next week.
Marcia

I'm sure the nero

Marcia, I think back to my life before testing, and that phase was miserable for me. I wanted to know what was going on, regardless of what it was. But I had to know what I was up against, so I could fight it better.

That's great that you can still cook. My cooking skills took a downturn as I lost most of my sense of smell and taste. I can follow a recipe, but I can't be creative like I used to enjoy.

My testing showed I was substantially worse than I ever dreamed. That was a tough hit, but I learned to handle it and move on. You will adjust, too, and come home and make more yummy soup.

Hello, Marcia, Some of the freshest, tastiest food I've eaten has been from the farm stands around Kokomo. Are there still farms there? I lived there in 1980. My mouth is watering right now from imagining your homemade country soup.

Now that I'm stabilizing on Exelon and Namenda, I'm looking forward to getting back to cooking creatively instead of heating food up in the microwave.

Hi Iris,
The vegtable stands are gone now but you are right,.. we have the best sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans and cantalope around in July and Aug!
I've shipped a doz. ears of corn to BF in DC, their corn dosn't hold a candle to ours!!
