I am brand new to this and hopefully I have it figured out. I've been having LOTS of trouble with my memory and am going to see a doctor soon for some sort of tests. I am very scared. Two Aunts on my Mom's side both died from AD. I've seen people "living" with it and what it does to everyone around them. Is there some sort of test I can take, online, to see how I rate regarding this disease? Thanks...

Hi Steve and welcome, my name is Tracy and I was diagnosed in 2002 at 38, I am now 43 and in the middle stages. Frist, you cannot reply on the online tests, those are just for fun. You need to find a neurologist and have a complete work up including MRI's, blood work, Neuro-psych test and a clinical evaluation. It sounds like it is in your family and that is even more reason to be seen asap. The early the diagnosis and medication is administered the beter quality of life you will have. I hope this info help. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail.
