Please look at the thread "Please Help! Need Advice!", started by Sandie D., in the Caregivers Forum. Sandie is 52 and her husband Steve is 59. Steve has lost his job (and health insurance, and all income) due to what sounds like stage 5/6 AD. Since he was fired for memory lapses, they don't think he can get unemployment.

Doctors apparently agree he has dementia, but will not provide a diagnosis (give a name to the dementia) that will make it possible for Sandie and her husband to can get the aid they need.

If any of you have gone through this and can assist her ... she sounds like she's really desperate. Thanks.
