Sarge, I tuned in at a time when tunes were playing without comment from you. When you came back on, you may have sounded a little self-conscious, but otherwise ok.

I'm kind of a Beatles freak! Did any of you attend music concerts? I saw the Beatles (very young), Jimi Hendrix (wow, what a guitar player) Janis Joplin (loved her raspy blues voice), Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, ( loved that harmony) The Allman Bros.,(loved the blues) Jethro Tull, Cat Stevens.... oh, I could go on and on.

What did you all like?

Please, share it with me.

I have been my wife's sole caregiver for five years now. We are married 26 years and have always enjoyed Country music, but we are very selective about the artists and the messages in the music. We limit our collection to songs which depict love and sensitivity for others, not rock orientated, not drinking songs, for example - songs about kindness and love by artists such as, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Andy Griggs, Amy Dalley, Billy Currington, Billy Dean, Brad Paisley, Bucky Covington, Chely Wright, Clay Walker, Clint Black, Collin Raye, Darryl Worely, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Rick Trevino, Rodney Atkins, Trace Adkins, Sara Evens, SHeDAISY, Steve Wariner, Tanya Tucker, Dolly Parton, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Martina McBride are good examples of this. I'm no hill billy - I just like songs with a wholesome story. My wife is at a point now where nearly every program on TV frightens her - except CMT and GAC - the two top Country Music video stations. She cannot watch news or any other program showing or depicting violence. It's not everyone's cup of tea, of course!

Hey Sarg, you need a nap. Don't go on a walk. Do go to sleep for a while. Unless you're joking and I missed it.

PuterDoc, we all need to be honest about what strengthens us & what weakens us. You've made a great discovery regarding music you listen to. I find myself paying far less attention to the news, too.

I listen to different songs for sometimes different reasons. Most of the time, I'm not paying much attention to the singing, except for how it adds to the overall composition. But then, I've been a musical performer now & then, and I focus on the various strings which I also play.

Sometimes I listen to a song, and imagine myself playing along. On a good day and a modest tune, I can hear & name the particular chords, even "see" the melody line.

Your list is fantastic! I like those and more, there are good songs in all the genres.

Thank you sarg, glad I could help. I understand way too well how you can get timelines and past occurences mixed up in your head. Once again, glad you had someone close by to come and help you.

Alan, he wasn't joking. He was in a different time and place for awhile.

Try to stay brave and strong everyone and lean on those that want and will help. We all need it.

Thanks Becky. Most of the time I don't catch subtleties, so I had to ask.

Sarg, don't sweat it, it's part of our lives, getting a little confused now and then.

Hiya and Good Morning Puterdoc, I have the stream set up and all the music you requested is loaded and playing on the air. I have 15+ hours of the singers you spoke of. There is a few i didnt have so i went to the old trusty limewire to get them and it crashed my computer (thank god for system restore). No worries i will keep looking for them.

I have loaded all the tuned 2 times so that will take us will over the next 24 hours.

So crank up them speakers and enjoy, much love, Sarg

http://215.155.131.180:8200 if you add that url to your music player you should be able to here the music. If you have any problems getting tuned in please let me know. My yahoo msg'er is djsarg my email is djsarg@yahoo.com

Alan you got the idea, lean back in your chair close your eyes and let the music take you away.

Hello Everyone, just wanted to remind ya all that Wendsday is Vet's day. Please take a few to think about all of our vet's past, presnt and future. I normaly do a special set on vet's day with DJ^Angel but this year that wont be possible.

I know some do not support the war, all i ask of you all is to put aside what our feeling are for the dession's of the nations leaders but look at the members of our armed forces and thier families if only for this day. Our troops are doing what they are called on to do, they proved the freedoms we some times take for ganted. I retired from the AIr Force, my son is deployed for his 3rd tour over there and i want him home along with the rest of our troops. They and thier families and friends live everyday wondering if they will make it home. Some wont and some will never be the same when they do come home.

I have seen the damage both inside and out. Seen it 1st hand its not a propler thing to speak about. People want and need the armed force but they dont want to seen the reality of thier duties. I have lost to meany friends most not to war in some distant place but right here in the U.S. The pain and sadness of a vet will live on forever.

You want to meet a hero, you want to shake a hero's hand. All you have to do is look for a vet.

Thank You
TSgt Horsley, USAF Retired

I got this link to a video from a friend. An oldie but goodie, meaningful.

I came across these incredible animated videos set to some fine music.

This one is funny, but watch the rest. This Mogipbob's really talented putting these together.
