The other night I saw a great comedy routine on Comedy Central. Josh Blue is a stand up comedian who has Cerebral Palsy. He won the Last Comic Standing competition a few years ago.
He is fully functional intellectually but his style of humor fits well with those of us suffering cognitive decline. His reactions to other people and simple comments on life are good for laugh. His stuff is mostly family friendly and might help family and friends learn to laugh at our personal foibles. He tours and has a DVD. You can download some samples at joshblue.com Now, if someone would just come up with a bit to teach people how to put up with AD antics. Mark in Idaho I have suffered from concussion and apnea induced cognitive and memory decline since 2001 at age 46. "Be still and know that I am God" Psalms 46:10 |
