To All: Even tho the study I am citing is re melatonin and childhood Leukemia, on page 2, the end of paragraph one states that the onset of Parkinsons and Alzheimers may be forestalled and also the severity of symptoms may be reduced by taking melatonin: http://www.electric-fields.bris.ac.uk/melatoninpaper.pdf

For those who haven't read about the benefits of reducing nighttime EMF/EMR exposures from sleeping close to electric appliances and telephone equipment -- also known to reduce one's natural production of melatonin, see my appeal to Dr. Marilyn Albert at: http://freepage.twoday.net/stories/3038870/

and my website (access below sign-off) for addl. info.

I met Dr. Russel Reiter in London in 2004. He told me if my husband had been taking melatonin all along, he may nevre have developed Alzheimers.

Feel free to call or email w/questions. Take care - Joanne
