A skin test that can detect the early stages of Alzheimer's disease has been developed by American scientists.
An article about this was published in the UK in July. It says that "scientists at the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute in West Virginia believe they have found a way to detect the disease early - possibly within months of it developing." Apparently coordinating the results of the skin tests with autopsies is showing amazing results. "So far, the skin test has been tried on 300 patients with suspected Alzheimer's. After their deaths, post-mortems are carried out to see if the skin test was accurate. Results so far from 42 cases suggest it is 98 per cent accurate in its diagnosis. "If further trials go well, it could be commercially available within 18 months." I don't know what I think. Here's a link to the article: http://tinyurl.com/yatud3a |

This is a very interesting article, thank you for sharing it. I'm with you as to not knowing what I really think of it. Any technology they can create to get early detection is a great thing, next they need to work on creating a cure.

What they really need is to find a cure or something to stop it!
