Dear friends,

I would like to wish everyone a Blessed and Happy New Year. As I reflect upon this passing year of 2006, I am humbled to have been a part of this wonderful support group. Most of all, I thank the Lord for leading me here. I have learned so much from you all. My heart has broken many times as I read about each family that has lost their loved one to this terrible disease. I am amazed at the grace that so many of you have shown in the face of your loved one's suffering and in your own suffering.

Thank you to all who have shown compassion by offering support to me. I cannot even begin to express what is has meant to me and my family.

I pray often for us all, as we travel along this journey. Be encouraged to know that the Lord does hear our prayers. He is always with us. He keeps His promises and in His prefect time, He makes all things beautiful.

May God bless you all this New Year.

Love and peace,
Marcie

Marcie and all...I would also like to thank each of you for the lessons you've shared, the hope that you give, and the grace with which you all handle each situation.

For 2007 may we all have special memories to cherish, and peace.

May we all have an easier 2007! I had 2 of my grandkids over with Mama tonight, and I tried to have a pleasant evening for them but the sundowning set in about 7pm and the anxiety escalated. Kids can be wonderful--my granddaughter Molly (10) said, "I'm going to make a recording--"Relax; it's 6:00. Relax; it's 6:02." They take the anxiety better than I do--despite my best efforts, I got just as anxious and annoyed as Mama. Oh well, and so to bed. Thanks to you all for being there.

I too wish to add my many thanks to all of you who have shared of yourselves and brought so much to me in many ways.

It is with great humility that I read many of your posts and realize how much more so many of you do, against such huge obstacles. I have never seen such states of grace. I am in awe.

Again, thank you to all of you so very much. And I would be remiss if I did not also add, that though we have shared fears, concerns and some tears; I have also had some really good old-fashioned belly laughs which was like putting money in the bank!

May the New Year bring many unexpected blessings to all! Happy New Year dear friends.

Dearest Susan,

I don't think that I could have made it through the past year without all the love and support that you've bestowed upon me. You're an awesome lady and friend. I thank God every time I think of you.

Peace and love,
Marcie

Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts and blessings towards us all!

Reading all of your responses brought tears of joy and tears of compassion to my eyes. I truly could have not been able to go through this journey without you and my faith in the Lord. Your shared stories and knowledge of what you've experience with your loved ones have helped me to understand my Mom, this disease and what can cause changes, (UTI's) Frowner and what is "normal" for a person afflicted with AD.

Thanks again to all of you. God bless you.

Peace and love,
Marcie

And a happy and blessed New Year to all of us. This place is an insidious addiction, and the most fun I've had in a very long time.
