This is a cool idea, but I can't figure it out. I'm having trouble getting the pic to post.

LeeAnn, thanks for including the link to your blog, in your posting above. What a nice site! I will visit it more often.
I especially love your "Serenity" pond. I've wanted to do something like that in my parents' back yard, but haven't figured it out yet.
The story of your mother bringing you the iced tea is precious!

I have to play with it and see if I can get it to work

These are from a trip Mom and I took to Yosemite a few months before the surgery (anesthesia) that advanced her dementia from stage 3 to stage 6. We flew to San Francisco, rented a car, drove to Yosemite and stayed in a cabin for 5 days. We had so much fun and I'm so glad now that we did it. She doesn't remember any of it, but I will, always. The restaurant picture is at the Ahwanee Hotel, and it's called 13 Dollar Cheeseburger! I know, I know, we're identical.

OH what great pictures. I really enjoyed your website LeeAnn.

As for adding the pics, that only way I could do it was to use photobucket.com. Search this board for pictures and you will find directions.

Unfortunately, I didn't read how to SIZE my picture until after I posted it.

Again, I'm bless for your sharing of your loved ones.

Mom & I, and her best Friend (Yeah THAT one!) just a few short years ago, at "The Olive Garden" in Palo Alto, California.Celbrating her Birthday 81st, or 82nd. It must have been pre-hat. She just gets her hair cut REAL short now (I a sure she has forgotten how to 'fix' her hair anymore, she used to 'do' it once a week like clock work by herself, under the old fashioned hair dryer, in rollers, the works!) and goes nowhere without 'the hat! At least it is a cute one!

Here's hoping again I did this right.

If so, this is my Mom from about 15 months ago at our home. My niece and her family were visiting from the Houston area. Mother looks so much more present, alert, peaceful in this picture than she does today.

How I really love this. Thank you for sharing. Now . . . if I can just get Lori or Barbilou to adopt me, life would be perfect!

I will have to find a photo of Mom and send it on. She is dreadfully camera shy, so I will have to search for an older one.

Thank you, all of you. It is terrific to have a personal face on this.

They are 2 of my 3. (+ one son!) Sorry...only 5'4" and 5'5"--too short to be models! Maybe Rockettes at the short end of the line. They're very nice girls, and that's what matters.

Well they are darling...regardless, and yes, on the inside is equally, if not more important, I agree. I was going to ask you where the 'dimples' came from, but I now can see, from your Husband???

Is he your LO with AD??? Gosh they all look, and probably 'are' so young to me??? It 'could' be me??? But it's not, not yet anyway??? Roll Eyes

How are you doing Stef??? I think of you often, I guess I feel we are 'kindred' spirits! I rather 'marched to the tune' of my own drum as a teen, but turned into a good adult, I think! Wink

Here is a quote that I wanted to 'share' with you. In the good ol' days, Mother and I used to exchange these "Thoughts For The Day" Calenders by Louise Hayes, who believes (greatly) in positive thinking, and creating your own reality, by believing sincerely in positive affirmations. Now it will not heal the sick, but she has allot of 'wise' advice, I think!

This is the one I came across yesterday. and made me think of you.

"I listen to my intuition. My inner wisdom guides me." Smiler

I hope you can 'hear' yours "Loud & Clear!" dear! Keep us posted, O.K? O.K. Wink

Oh Nonna Dear....I will 'hold your pain, if just for a moment' I promise! I read your 'blog' and you are an exceptional teen. Teens (if you haven't noticed) don't usually 'care' as much as you do dear. I was the same way, thought I could heal, or fix everyone. There is a balance, you will find, when you can 'help' and 'love' others, but not make the mistake of leaving yourself out, which is so easy to do.

I figured you were not paying much attention to your 'studies' anyway, so wondered if you couldn't just bring them with you??? I don't know what kind of dead-lines you have, and want you to well in school, big time, "BUT" if you can't focuse...just go? Bring your Lap-Top, if you have one, your books?? It sounds like your Nonna is sleeping allot anyway, and you have heard of relatives sitting bed-side for Years when their Loved One's were in a Coma??? And they 'know' you are there??? And I think you could even 'relax' a little, if you were ten minutes away, and not 1 1/2 hours???

I know I have different advice hun, and perhaps it 'is' because I was never a Mother. "But" I have been a Daughter, and a Good Friend, and a Grandaugter, etc. and some things are just more important than others, and I think you already 'know' this.

Keep us posted, and 'know' that I am willing & able to 'hold your pain, if for only a moment' So beautifully put. Wink

Hey Kelly,
YEP, that's your Dad!! I can tell!
If you have a URL for a pic, you can just put it between , exactly as these are typed, with caps and all, and it should show up. That pic may be too big, I don't know. Do you know how to resize in Photobucket?
