Just wanted to thank everyone who has listened to me vent or who has offered good advice or encouragement. My MIL passed away this morning. She has been going steadily down for the past 6 weeks and has been on Hospice care in her assisted living. Seeing her yesterday was just the saddest thing. She needed to go.
Nina, Condolences to your family. Know that you will miss the person she was but are happy that she is at peace finally. Please keep us advised of situation. God bless and keep your family. Sheryl

I'm very sorry for you and your family. You in particular have been through a lot. I hope you'll all have some peace in the assurance that you were there for her.
My sincere condolences to your family on the loss of MIL. Praying for comfort, peace and healing. Focus on happier times, knowing you did your best for MIL. She knows that now that she is free of the grips of dementia.

I am sorry to hear of your MIL passing. Having just lost my own dear mother, I share your feelings. My mother also needed to go. Prayers to you and your family

These are such true words.I think this a lot when I see residents at my mother's NH.
I hope you have a peaceful holiday season. It's time to take a deep breath and know that you and your family did all you could, but now it's time for another chapter in your life. I hope it's a good one.
