well,
I have been getting updates on mom in the facility. Apparently, she followed some visitors out the door of her ward, then followed them out the door to the out side. All the doors are coded doors. Some one was right behind her, so she didn't go far. But, oh. that makes me feel bad. She was going home to take care of dad.
What a lady.

Hi there, I hope you are not worried about her getting lost. However, I can sure see why it made you sad. This disease often brings us sad episodes.

Take care and know we are here for you

ma's petunia, i know you were glad someone was right behind her. But that is sweet that they always need to get home to take care of their mother or father. for my nanny its always her mom... my cousin works at a nursing home and she said one lady, (dementia) realized that as long as she carried her purse, visitors thought she was a vistor and would hold the door for her to go out w/ them!!! They had plenty of workers so they would see her going and get her back. And they say they dont have a clue....

Thank goodness someone was right behind your Mom ,,and stopped her from wandering too far away.

Do you think that if your Mom were to escape unoticed,,,that she would find her way back to your dad,,or to you? Lets hope that doesn't happen. My Mother,,the famous "Mrs.Houdini",,also managed to elope a few times. She was always found,,but it sure scared the crap out of me.

Hopefully the staff where your Mom lives,,will continue to keep a close eye on her and her "wanting to walk out "to help your Dad. Peace
