Sorry to be a "debbie downer" but I'm feeling tired, depressed, and lazy.... I've a "free" day today, and I haven't really accomplished anything around my house... this has been really the only opportunity in a very long while (since Christmas) that I've had to work around the house, and I've been screwing off all day, getting sidetracked, and never really finishing anything I start. I feel so guilty...

Just needed to whine - now I'm gonna go try to force myself to vacumn (my most hated chore).

I'm gonna see if I can vacumn with a martini in my hand... I'll let ya'll know how it works out! Wink

Don't feel bad. I had a free evening on Wednesday night, the first free evening in 12 days. I was home alone, I sat with a Bud Light and my two wonderful cats on my lap and I watched the Food Network Channel, then I moved myself up to bed with the two cats in tow, no Bud Light, and watched some more Food Network Channel. Now I had planned on getting a lot done that night, clean the kitchen, put the laundry away...but sometimes after going and going and going, you just need to do absolutely nothing. It is a regeneration opportunity. Don't feel bad about it, you need that down time.

Good for you, Jane! The most important thing to remember - YOU need time for YOU & it doesn't matter what you do or don't do with the time.

BTW - you CAN vacuum with a martini in 1 hand - I do it all the time! Big Grin

Now that dad is settled in his B&C I just have his paperwork to deal with. Mr. Kingdom. I tell you he had more stuff going on that Carter had pills! I feel like I'm back at work! No, work was easier! So when I get time to play, I end up working around my house. I've become a gardenholic because it releases my stress. Also, I'm helping hubby do wood flooring. Of course my knees are trashed and kill me at night. I'm using a TENs Unit on them before bed and in the morning. But, here's the DEAL. A day off is a booby trap for housework. No such thing!

Jane, take the day off and enjoy it. Whoa cares abut the house work. My motto -- peple come to visit me not to see the house. If you want to see the house all neat and pristine, go to a hotel.
