Dear Friends,

I know that the majority [here] want to really want to reach out help people in need. There are so many wonderful people here. I have been blessed by those whom I have become friends with and blessed those who I have come to know through this forum. I Know & completely Understand why there are so many people are upset and wanting to leave this forum. It makes me angry knowing some of the unjust things that have happened to innocent member. There simply is no justification for it. But, Please don't go. We need each other. I do not know how I would have been able to make it through this journey without the insight and support from this forum. Many people come here because they do not have the support from family & friends that they so desparately need. And as for me I was clueless as to what AD was all about [personality changes, agressive & suspicious behavior]. My mother was a victim of elder abuse & exploitation. Our family has endured hell on earth! If it were not for my faith in the Lord and this board I don't think I would have been able to make it through to where we are today. I had days when I honestly didn't know if I wanted to live another day--some days I felt paralized with pain. I had so many people working against me including the Probate court! I had to go the the Sheriff's dept. to report the abuse in order to have my voice heard! Now, thanks be to God, my mother is safe and far away from her abusers and our famliy has been restored and we are able to spend precious time with her again.

Here is a passage that I read this morning that really spoke to me.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverence the race marked out for us.
Hebrews 12:1

Friends, let us continue to help those who are in need and fight the good fight and finish the race. We have got to be Strong and Persevere for the greater good of this community.

Yesterday, I visited my Mama and she is declining slowly but surely-- she's losing her ability to communicate and it breaks my heart. Please pray for my Mama.

The ALF has a Mass service once per month for the residences and yesterday Father asked us to all join hands and say the prayer that Jesus taught us...the Lord's Prayer. I was in a room with 20 seniors, my Mama being the youngest 70 and the oldest is in her 90's. I am moved to tears every time; it is so beautiful to see people holding hands praying together.


Dear friends, I want to thank everyone here for selflessly reaching out with your hands, offering your shoulders to cry on, ears to hear, and your support, friendship and prayers. I will continue to keep the members of this board in my prayers and try to offer my support whenever I am able.

I agree with you Marcie. I haven't been a member here long but in the month that I have been I have received a wealth of information, ideas and support.

Life is not fair - just look at what our LO's are going through if anyone needs further proof of it.

I hope everyone can ignore whatever and whoever it is that is causing problems and stay to support, console and inform us.
