Just a reminder, if your loved one falls, make sure they are ok. If they cannot stand, bear weight, or their leg is rotated, please call for an ambulance.

We all know falls and hip fractures are very common and one of our goals is to keep our LO's from breaking a hip.

Thanks for the reminder...so many of us have experienced this..my dad did break a hip...not good..he continues to fall now and then...falling is just awful for the elderly.

Also, pain from a broken hip can feel like knee pain. I have had two people I know experience that.


Guilt. It's not just for parents anymore! Smiler

My mom just broke her ankle real bad. plate and 6 screws.. Home now after rehab and not doing a thing that she is told.. can't remember too.. She complained so much about her other ankle and never has complained about the broken ankle.. Doctor said it seems to be confused as to what actually hurts so please be aware of that also...
