Many of you may not remember but, in June '07, member Lori1955 initiated the idea to create a quilt in honor/memory of our loved ones. With the dedication and hard, hard work of Lori and others, such as Campingnana, BIGSKYGIRL, Joyce43, our mission was recently accomplished.

Tomorrow, Sept 24, our quilt will be on display in Chicago, during the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's National Conference!!

If you want to check out the squares of 29 Loved Ones AND our own Younghope1(Tracy Mobley), go to this site:
Quilt panels

Our panels are listed under "The Forget Me Not Quilt". For close-up pics, go here:

First 4 panels
Final 2 panels

A group of women, who had participated in the making of the quilt, are in Chicago, as I type. They will be viewing the quilt tomorrow!

That's awesome! You all must feel pretty darn good about that!
I remember campingnanna, bigskygirl, joyce43 and others - we miss your wisdom.

What a wonderful way to remember.

The quilt display was awsome. There were seven people from the forum there. For most of us it was a first at meeting everyone. After the introductions, it was like a group of long time friends.
There were 60 quilts on display in Chicago with another 60 being displayed in Washington.
We had six panels for a total of 30 loved ones.
The work that went into all the quilts was amazing.

Maebee,
I am back in Chicago again for my SIL's surgery but I'll try to find the time to send you some pictures . All I have to do is have my SIL show me how to transfer everything to my computer.
We will make arrangements to meet for lunch when I get back home in Nov.

I wish you enough
