She came back today as though she was never gone.
Her eyes, so blue, so bright, so here.
Her smile that always lightened my heart...
That drew me to her side.
I held her hand and stroked her hair...
And told her I loved her and she smiled...
The loving,dear face I had known from my birth
Now gazed up at me, full of unspoken words,
Needless words when this look will do,
Will say all that needs to be said.
The greatest gift to me is when
She comes back, even for just a moment.
