I wrote this on Mothers' Day in 2005. It was written in honor of my mom, but exists today for all moms and all children of moms. I hope you like it.

When the Earth was still new, God gathered all the angels in Heaven.
"You need a representative," God said, "to walk among the mortals."

"This person must demonstrate to others what it means to be an angel.
This person will be a healer.
This person will be a peacemaker.
This person will be kind and generous, and above all else, this person will embody the true meaning of love."

"This person will bear great responsibility.
This person will nurture and protect.
This person will work long and hard throughout life.
This person will not be rewarded by material things, but rather by giving and receiving love.
For love is its own reward."

One of the angels asked, "What shall we call this incredible person?"
God replied, "We shall call this person Mother."

Journey,

This is a wonderful poem, and so very true!
Please continue writing more, and keep posting them, cause they will help heal the broken hearts, that have to deal and live this awfully, demanding and hateful disease!

Thank You So Much For Sharing!
Yesterday the Past, Tomorrow the Future, Today a Gift, that's why they call it the present.

Yesterday is the past, Tomorrow the future,
Today a gift, that's why it is called the present!
