My mom has been diagnosed for almost 2 years. The past 2 weeks she has been on a huge decline. She is now confined to a wheelchair, eating very little and has to be fed and sleeps most of the time. She is in an Alzheimer facility. How can this happen so fast? I truly don't want to see her live this way. I know it's awful to say but I wish the Good Lord would take her now.
Hey Joan's Daughter, keep strong! I will keep you and Joan in my prayers and ask that you do the same for me and my mom who is living with AD. My mom was diagnosed in 2005 @ the young age of 57. She has been living with me since Nov 2008 and as much as we try and feed her, she has lost 8lbs! she is also sleeping alot and refusing to eat, so I feel your pain. Don't feel guilty about wishing for the Lord to take her! It is so hard to see our loved ones (especially mom) not being able to live the life they deserve! Try and spend as much time as you can with her! and again stay strong!
Always in need of a friend living with Alzheimers Disease!
